The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is accepting applications for a subsidy program.
The programme aims to promote new investment, maintain and create jobs in Japan, and improve the site location environment for companies in Japan to encourage companies to locate their production bases domestically. The subsidy will be offered for production bases in the fields of
parts and materials, which constitute the core part of the supply chain and cannot be substituted, as well as high added value growth sectors that will create employment in Japan.

APPLICATIONS:
Applications will be accepted until June 1st, 2012. Applications must be submitted in Japanese.

We wish to advise you that Duco Delgorge, Chairman of the NCCJ, will step down as Chairman and as Board Member on December 31, 2011 in order to take on the role of European Business Council in Japan (EBC) Chairman from January 1, 2012. He will replace Tommy Kullberg, who has been Chairman of the EBC since January 2008, and who has reached the end of his 3 year term as Chairman.

We are pleased to announce that Hans van der Tang, Board Director and Secretary of the NCCJ, has accepted to be Chairman of the NCCJ from January 1, 2012. His nomination was unanimously supported by the Board on December 5, 2011. We are equally pleased to announce that subsequently the Board elected Taco de Vries with unanimous support from January 1, 2012 as the new Secretary.
