On December 6, during a ceremony held at the Embassy of the Netherlands, it was announced that Elsevier and Scarabee Aviation Group have won the 2018 edition of the Deshima Business Awards. The award, an original delftware plate, was handed over to the winners by the Netherlands’ Ambassador to Japan, his Excellency Mr Aart Jacobi.

The NCCJ has been supporting the Japan Market Expansion Competition (JMEC) for many years. In order to empower young professionals that are related to NCCJ members, the NCCJ will provide a scholarship for last-minute applicants. If you or your colleagues are still considering participating, please contact the NCCJ at nccj@nccj.jp

The program begins November 10. 

The JMEC program is a business training program in English centered around a business plan competition. Past JMEC alumni have gone on to management and executive positions or started their own companies.  The program attracts working professionals from a diversity of countries and backgrounds.

The Japan Market Expansion Competition (JMEC) 25 program, which is supported by 17 Foreign Chambers of Commerce and trade organizations in Japan, including ourselves—is now open for applications from prospective new Participants and Project Clients. JMEC participants will enhance their business planning skills and learn how to write a full-fledged business plan during the course of the program.
