Event Report: NCCJ's Welcome Back Aperitif and Table Football Tournament, Sept.17, 2015
The chamber held another Welcome Back Party, on Sept. 17 at Amusement bar in Shibuya.
When the guests weren’t networking and enjoying food and drink, they were competing for prizes for the Table Football tourney.
The final -- between Richard van Rooij and Joris Berkhout one side of the table and Franck van Overbeek and Martin van der Linden on the other -- was a nail-biter. Van Rooij and Berkhout rallied after being down four goals to take the prize. They beat out seven other teams.
Richard took home a Philips noodle maker, while Joris got a certificate for a two-night stay for two people at the Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo, in its Executive Suite and with access to the Club Lounge.
Franck was the happy winner of a 24-botle case of Heineken beer. Martin also received a noodle making device.
Prizes were also handed to the third place team. Another case of beer went to Yvonne Gerritsen, while her teammate Roos Zijlmans got bottle of white wine with a baby tiger doll from Asian Tigers Mobility and a ready-made frame from Larson Juhl.
The same set of prizes went to the fourth place player Maarten Molenaar. His teammate Myrra Carstens got a large beach towel from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and a Ready-Made frame from Larson Juhl.
