The Netherlands Embassy in Japan likes to inform the Dutch business community about the recent publication of the National Action Plan on Human Rights and Business.

The aim of the action plan is to prevent companies from abusing human rights either directly or within supply chains. In attached file the Dutch government sets out existing policy, presents the results of the consultations on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and describes the additional steps it is taking or plans to take. The guiding principle is that businesses have a social responsibility to apply the same human rights norms both in the Netherlands and elsewhere.
