METI questionnaire on consumption tax labelling
METI has sent out a survey regarding the possible increase in consumption tax
and how companies plan to label their prices. As you might know the presented
plan calls for an increase from the current 5% to 8% from April 2014 and an
additional 2 percentage point from October 2015.
Unfortunately the questionnaire is only in Japanese so far. The deadline is set
for 25 May however METI appreciates answers before 11 May. Please note that your individual
answers will not be made public but all answers will be complied into one EBC
answer.
