NCCJ Luncheon Meeting

When:
Fri 13 May 2016 12:30 - 14:00

The NCCJ is pleased to announce our Guest Speaker: Mr. Chris Gunner, Shell Country Chairman, Japan.

Event Overview
Climate change is a serious threat to our future which needs to be tackled immediately. Innovation and a transition to a low carbon economy will be the key in achieving stable, sustainable energy future.
Shell has long recognized both the importance of the climate challenge and the critical role energy has in enabling a decent quality of life for people across the world; wherever they live.  But our energy system is changing to meet greater demand and environmental stresses.  The big challenge, simply put, for both society and a company like Shell, is how to provide “much more energy and much less CO2”.
Chris Gunner, Shell Country Chairman, Japan will talk about how Shell will play its role in providing those solutions to bring more energy and less CO2; especially in areas where it has, and can develop, the skills needed for natural gas production, future fuels, such as biofuels and hydrogen, and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS).
