Mercedes-Benz Japan Cup in 2011

Please find the following information from MBJ Cup Taskforce:

We are pleased to announce that the 9th North America - Europe Golf Challenge in Japan, the Mercedes-Benz Japan Cup, will be played on Friday, September 30, at the same venue as in previous years, the Atsugi Kokusai Country Club in Kanagawa Prefecture. As always, we expect to have approximately 72 players on both teams.

The organizing taskforce has been working closely with the club to reduce costs, so some portion of the participation fee and sponsorship will be donated to charity along with the presently established charity fundraising activity.

Registration for this event is now open. Participation fees are the same as last year, i.e. a 3,000 yen non-refundable registration fee and a 21,000 yen fee (paid to the club) for the play, caddie, lunch and party, and a lot of great prizes, for a total of 24,000 yen, of which a portion will go to charity.

Sponsoring the event: If you want to promote your company through this event and related web site, please sign up as a sponsor. Sponsors who sign up now will have the additional benefit of receiving an almost full one year exposure on the web site (until we open the 2012 site).

Last year, the web site received more than 160,000 hits, and we expect the number to be greater this year. In addition, sponsors will be included in printed materials produced for the event, such as posters, an information guide to players and the pocket guide. Your contribution can be in cash or goods/services. Sponsorship starts from 40,000 yen (100,000 yen for goods/services). Any surplus from the sponsorship money will go to charity.
