Economic mission to Japan and Korea with Minister Henk Kamp

The Ministry of Economic Affairs is organizing a trade mission to Japan (27-31 October) and Korea (2-4 November), led by Henk Kamp, Minister of Economic Affairs. Hans de Boer, President of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW) will act as a business mission leader.


Japan is the third largest economy in the world with great innovative strength in the technological and scientific fields. The bilateral relations between Japan and the Netherlands are excellent, also in the economic field (trade, investment and technological and scientific cooperation). Since the inauguration of the government led by Prime Minister Abe Japan’s highly developed economy shows a new dynamism which offers many opportunities for Dutch business, also in our top sectors. In the field of offshore wind energy, in the development of high-tech agriculture and horticulture and in the fields of healthy ageing, cybersecurity and IOT (internet of things), as well as smart mobility and automotive, our two countries have a lot to gain in sharing expertise.
