NCCJ EXCURSION 6 SEPTEMBER 2011 Sumo training at Sadogatake Stable & Company visit to Mabuchi Motor

Join us for an excursion to the Sadogatake Stable in Matsudo to watch Sumo morning training and try Chanko brunch. This will be then followed by a visit to Mabuchi Motor, a world leading micro-motor company. Learn about this unique company and micro-motors today at their HQ and museum (will not see actual production).  This "Big" art and "Small" technology showing will provide NCCJ members and friends an extraordinary experience.  Family members, friends and guests are all welcome.

Time and Venue:       
8:50                    Registration at Matsuhidai station
9:00                    Leaving Matsuhidai station to Sadogatake Stable
9:15  – 11:15       Sadogatake Stable and Chanko brunch
11:30 – 12:30      Visiting Mabuchi Motor

Direction to Matsuhidai station:
It will take approximately one hour by train from central Tokyo.
Toei Subway-Asakusa Line goes directly to Matsuhidai station.

Travel Examples:
From Shibuya station: take Hanzomon Line leaving at 7:43. Change at Oshiage station to Keisei Line. You will arrive at Matsuhidai sta. at 8:45.
From Shinbashi sataion: take Toei Subway-Asakusa Line leaving at 8:02. Direct access to Matsuhidai station arriving at 8:45.

Price: 
- YEN 4,000 (cost of chanko brunch with beer)
- Transportation arrangements to Matsuhidai station and costs to be covered by participants.
- Payment on day (receipts provided) or paymet by bank tranfer available on request.

Notes:
- To watch sumo training and eat chanko, we have to sit on the floor with a cushion.
- NO PICTURES at the stable.
- We will not see manufacturing of motors at Mabuchi but a presentation about the company and micro motors applications, including a visit to a museum/exhibit.
- Both venues are walking distance from the train station
- More information will be provided to participants; please ask if any questions.

Sadogatake Stable:
You will see the stable's wrestlers, including Koto-oushu Ozeki, a Bulgarian who performed in the first Sumo event in the Netherlands in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam in 2009 to celebrate the 400th-year trade relations between Japan and the Netherlands.
